About the Role: Data Scientist

Core Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will solve challenging business problems through the application of advanced Machine Learning and AI methods
Should have strong fundamentals in machine learning, general statistics, and data science principles.
The successful candidate will work with some or all of these: Regression, Decision Trees, CART, Random Forests, Boosting, Neural Networks, Support Vector Machines.
Should have sound knowledge of the following methods: Ensemble Methods, Association Rules, Principal Component Analysis, Clustering, Deep learning, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.
The candidate should understand Large Language Models (LLMs), their architecture, capabilities, and limitations. Experience in the application of LLMs for various business use cases will be an added advantage.
Hands-on experience with fine-tuning pre-trained LLMs using relevant datasets and evaluation metrics.



Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques to effectively guide LLM behavior and developing agentic AI workflows by integrating LLMs with other tools and systems to achieve complex goals would be a plus.
The candidate will be required to carry out day-to-day data and modeling-related operations in Python and SQL.
Solid problem-solving and conceptual thinking are required, with the ability to communicate complex ideas succinctly to the senior management and other internal stakeholders.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment is desirable. The candidate should have a solid work ethic, a sense of ownership, result-oriented behavior, and be a team player.

Requirements:
Master's / Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, or equivalent degree.
Around 1to 4 years of Relevant work experience in data science and handling large data sets.
Hands-on expertise on analytical tools like Python, MySQL, big data technologies, and LLMs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
