Position: Sr. Engineer - Maintenance

Location: Vapi

Responsibilities
Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and minimize machine downtime.
Maintain equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, reactors, furnaces, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and other process equipment.
Conduct regular inspection of machinery and identify potential failures.
Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, checklists, and maintenance records
Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely maintenance and smooth plant operations.
Supervise maintenance technicians, fitters, and external contractors.
Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, fitting, and installation of mechanical equipment.
Maintain adequate inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and consumables.
Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement projects.
Follow company safety procedures, SOPs, PPE requirements, and statutory guidelines.
Maintain maintenance reports, breakdown history,



and equipment records.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, productivity, and maintenance cost

Required Skills
Robust knowledge of industrial mechanical maintenance.
Valuable understanding of pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting and RCA.
Knowledge of shaft alignment, coupling, lubrication, vibration, and bearing maintenance.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and P&IDs.;
Valuable team-handling and communication skills.
Knowledge of MS Office/Excel and maintenance documentation.
Experience in a chemical, metal, refinery, manufacturing, or precious-metal processing plant will be preferred

Required Qualification: - Diploma/B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical

Salary :- Upto 6.00 LPA
