Core Educational Qualifications
Academic Degree: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sanskrit, or graduation with Sanskrit as an elective/core subject.
Professional Degree: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
Teacher Eligibility Test: CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) Paper II or equivalent state TET qualification is frequently preferred or mandatory for government and reputed private schools. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Key Skills and Experience
Teaching Scope: Capability to teach Sanskrit for middle and secondary classes (typically Classes 6 to 10, or Classes 3 to 8 depending on the school setup). [1, 2]
Subject Knowledge: Solid command of Sanskrit grammar (Vyakaran), literature (Sahitya), prose (Gadh), and poetry (Padh). [1]
Experience: Many private institutions look for 1 to 3 years of middle-school teaching experience, though robust freshers are also accepted. [1, 2]
Additional Competencies: Good communication skills in Sanskrit and Hindi, basic computer literacy, and familiarity with digital teaching tools
