Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, with a primary focus on 1065, 1120c and 1120s forms.
Analyze and interpret complex tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving prospects.
Perform detailed tax research and document findings to support tax positions.
Review and reconcile tax workpapers, general ledger entries, and financial statements.
Identify and resolve tax issues through thorough analysis and research.
Assist in managing client relationships and serve as a key point of contact for tax-related inquiries.
Support junior team members by providing training, guidance, and technical expertise.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting.
Stay current on changes in tax laws and industry developments to maintain compliance and improve processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Robust knowledge of US federal and state tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystem, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly.
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
