About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Video Editor to work closely with a content creator on a mix of short-form and long-form video content. The ideal candidate has a robust eye for storytelling, pacing, and visual style, and can bring creative concepts to life across reels, podcast edits, and other content formats.

Responsibilities
Edit high-quality videos for reels, shorts, and social media content with solid pacing and hook-driven storytelling
Edit long-form podcast content, including trimming, multi-cam syncing (if applicable), and maintaining engagement throughout
Collaborate with the creator to brainstorm and execute creative concepts, transitions, and visual styles
Add sound design, music, motion graphics, text overlays, and captions to enhance storytelling
Color correct and color grade footage for a consistent, polished look
Organize and manage raw footage, project files, and version control efficiently
Stay updated on platform-specific trends (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.) and incorporate relevant editing styles
Work within tight turnaround times while maintaining quality and consistency




Take feedback constructively and iterate quickly on edits

Requirements
Proven experience in video editing, ideally with a portfolio or reel showcasing reels, shorts, and podcast edits
Solid command over editing software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
Solid understanding of editing fundamentals: pacing, continuity, rhythm, and visual storytelling
Experience with motion graphics/basic animation (After Effects or similar) is a plus
Good sense of sound design, music selection, and audio syncing
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a creator/team
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines
A creative mindset with the ability to translate ideas into engaging visual content

Nice to Have
Experience editing content specifically for creators/influencers
Familiarity with trends across Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms
Basic knowledge of thumbnail design or graphic design tools (Photoshop, Canva)
