Role & responsibilities :

Principal Accountabilities

(A) Operational
Administer first-aid treatment and life-support care to sick or injured persons.
Adherence to organ Transplant protocols.
Adherence to Infection Control Protocols.
Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
Observe, record, and report to physician the patient's condition or injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to drugs and treatment.
Perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures, such as stomach suction, airway management and heart monitoring.
Administer drugs, orally or by injection, and perform intravenous procedures under a physician's direction.
Coordinate work with other emergency medical team members when required.
To provide pre and post operative care to BMT Transplant cases.
Follows strict Barrier and Reverse barrier Nursing Techniques




To Monitor the sign of Organ rejection and give Health teaching
To plan & organize the instruments and consumables required for various surgeries.
To maintain strict aseptic technique during the surgical procedures.
To ensure all the registers are maintained in the ward.
To handle all the medical emergencies confidently.
Inserting drips and fluids and using different equipment, including ventilators, to assist breathing;
Checking the efficiency of equipment to maintain a state of operational readiness.

To participate in all unit and in-service education.
To adhere to the critical care policies and protocols.
Patient and Family Education.
Participate in Hospital Quality Improvement programme.
