: Junior Maintenance Engineer (Textile Industry)

Position: Junior Maintenance Engineer

Industry: Textile Manufacturing (Spinning / Weaving / Processing)

Location: Erode / Tamil Nadu

Reporting To: Maintenance Manager / Engineering Head

Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Textile Engineering.
Freshers to 3 years of experience in textile manufacturing maintenance.
Exposure to spinning, weaving, sizing, or processing machinery is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of textile machinery.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
Monitor machine performance and report recurring issues.
Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and machine history cards.
Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime.
Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintenance tools.
Follow safety procedures and statutory compliance requirements.




Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Support utility maintenance activities such as compressors, pumps, motors, and air systems.

Key Skills
Knowledge of textile machinery maintenance.
Understanding of TPM, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis.
Basic knowledge of PLCs, motors, drives, and electrical systems.
Familiarity with maintenance planning and documentation.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Teamwork and communication skills.
