Wandering Lama is a Bengaluru-based curated nature stays and travel company, built on 6+ years of experience hosting 60,000+ guests. We run three business lines: exclusively managed homestays and nature stays, a self-serve property listing platform and curated domestic and international travel packages. As we scale, we’re looking for a Sales Team Lead who can own numbers while building a high-performing team around them.

The Role

We need a sales leader who leads from the front — someone who carries their own targets, closes deals hands-on and simultaneously coaches, motivates, and holds a team accountable to hit collective goals. This is not a purely managerial seat;
you will be expected tosell actively while driving the team’s performance.

Responsibilities

Individual Sales & Target Ownership
Carry a personal sales quota focused on selling our exclusive and tied-up properties, driving revenue growth and consistently meet or exceed it
Handle high-value or complex client conversations directly from lead to close




Model best-in-class sales conversations, objection handling, and follow-through for the rest of the team

Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and motivate a sales team, setting explicit individual and team targets
Run daily/weekly pipeline reviews, track conversion at each funnel stage and course-correct quickly when numbers slip
Identify skill gaps and coach individual reps through role-play, call shadowing, and structured feedback
Own team hiring, onboarding, and performance management, including managing underperformance
Build a culture of ownership and accountability — sales targets are non-negotiable, but the “how” should be cooperative

Process & Initiative
Take initiative to identify what’s broken in the current sales process (lead routing, follow-up cadence, pricing objections) and fix it without being asked
Build and refine SOPs, scripts, and playbooks for homestay/nature stay sales and property onboarding (self-s
