Bioinformatics Assistant Professor

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Bioinformatics Analyst to analyze and interpret biological and genomic datasets using computational, statistical, and bioinformatics approaches.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze next-generation sequencing (NGS), genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, or other biological datasets.
Perform quality control, data preprocessing, alignment, variant analysis, annotation, and downstream interpretation.
Develop, execute, and maintain bioinformatics pipelines and analytical workflows.

Required Skills
Knowledge of molecular biology, genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics.
Programming/scripting skills in Python and/or R.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix command line.

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, Biology, Genetics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Research/project experience in bioinformatics is advantageous.
