We are seeking a skilled Mainframe DB2 Developer with solid experience in Mainframe technologies, DB2 database development, and batch processing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting Mainframe applications while ensuring high performance, reliability, and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
Design and develop DB2 database objects, SQL queries, stored procedures, and utilities.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform coding, unit testing, integration testing, and production support activities.
Optimize SQL queries and DB2 database performance.
Handle batch processing and scheduling activities.
Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis.
Work closely with business analysts, testing teams, and stakeholders.
Prepare technical design documents and maintain project documentation.




Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.

Required Skills
Solid experience in Mainframe Development.
Hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
Positive knowledge of VSAM, File Processing, and Batch Scheduling.
Expertise in DB2 SQL programming, query tuning, and performance optimization.
Experience in production support and incident management.
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Solid debugging and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills
Experience with REXX scripting.
Knowledge of IBM Utilities such as BMC/CA tools.
Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domains.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
