Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute surprise audits across branches, departments, and business operations, ensuring minimal prior intimation.
Evaluate internal controls, compliance with policies/procedures, and the effectiveness of operational processes.
Detect and report fraud, misappropriation, or procedural violations with supporting evidence.
Coordinate with other audit team members to schedule and conduct surprise visits effectively.
Document audit findings, prepare detailed audit reports, and present results to the Internal Audit Head and relevant stakeholders.
Recommend corrective actions and follow up on the implementation of remedial measures.
Conduct inventory verifications, cash counts, and employee spot checks as part of surprise audits.
Maintain audit evidence and working papers in accordance with internal audit standards.
Liaise with compliance, risk, and legal departments where necessary.
Provide training and guidance to junior audit staff involved in surprise audits.




Continuously improve audit procedures to enhance coverage and risk detection.

Key Skills & Competencies:
Robust knowledge of internal audit, internal controls, and risk management.
Familiarity with fraud investigation techniques.
High level of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.
Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Willingness to travel frequently and conduct unplanned site visits.

Travel Requirements:
Extensive travel (up to 70 80%) required for surprise audits.
