Inspire Institute of Sport is looking for an intern to join their data team in Vijayanagar, Bellary.
nRole Overview
nThe Data team at IIS builds the systems and processes that support performance data across the institute, from athlete onboarding to day-to-day data collection and reporting. This internship offers hands-on exposure to how data, technology, and sport intersect at a high-performance residential institute, working closely with the Data team and sports science staff across disciplines.
nKey Responsibilities
n1. Teamworks Platform Support
n
n
Assist the Data team with everyday tasks on IIS's athlete management platform (Teamworks), including supporting athlete onboarding and related processesn
Help maintain accurate and up-to-date athlete records on the platformn

n2. Performance Data Collection & Coordination
n
n
Assist in collecting and organizing performance data across sportsn
Support and collaborate with sports teams to ensure consistent and timely use of Teamworks for data recordingn

n3. Documentation & Process Support

n
Help build explicit guides and reference material for internal processes and platform usen
Support the Data team in maintaining organized, well-documented recordsn

n4. Data Cleaning & Analysis
n
n
Assist in cleaning and organizing raw data for accuracy and consistencyn
Support basic data analysis to identify trends and patterns in performance datan

nQualifications & Experience
nEssential
n
n
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related fieldn
Prior internship or project experience in a data/analytics context preferredn
Solid working proficiency in Microsoft Exceln
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured processesn

nDesirable
n
n
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or other data manipulation toolsn
Interest in sport, athlete performance, or high-performance settingsn
