HEAD – R&D;

Location: Pune | Experience: 15–18 Years | Qualification: PhD

Company A rapidly growing science- and innovation-led organisation in the food ingredients space,

focused on developing next-generation ingredient solutions through advanced research,

technology and product innovation.

Role Mandate A strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the organisation’s R&D;, technology, IP and global regulatory agenda, working closely with the Co-founders on high-impact scientific and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

 Lead the end-to-end R&D; and innovation agenda, from research and product development through process development, validation and scale-up.

 Drive development of protein-based and other food ingredients, leveraging deep expertise in protein chemistry, extraction, purification and enzymatic processes.

 Own patent and IP strategy, including complex patent portfolios, filings and technology protection.

 Lead global regulatory strategy and filings, including GRAS (US), FDA and EFSA requirements.

 Build relationships with global scientific institutions, industry networks and strategic partners.





 Represent the organisation with large global corporates, investors and scientific stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

 15–18 years of relevant R&D; / technology experience in food ingredients, alternative proteins, food biotechnology or allied fields.

 PhD from a leading institution such as IIT, UDCT or equivalent.

 Robust technical depth in protein chemistry, extraction & purification, enzymatic processes and ingredient development.

 Proven track record in IP/patents and international regulatory submissions.

 International exposure with a robust scientific and industry network.

 Ability to combine scientific depth with strategic thinking and commercial orientation.

 Robust executive presence and credibility to engage with Co-founders, global corporates and investors.

This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial leadership role for a scientist/technology leader who can translate deep scientific expertise into commercially scalable innovation.
