Role Summary

Outcomes is seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer with deep expertise in C/C++, Java, Spring Framework, PostgreSQL, c-treeDB (FairCom), and Oracle to lead the development, support, optimization, and modernization of critical legacy platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering, architecture, and technical leadership to drive scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Lead design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications built on C/C++ and Java.
Drive modernization and performance optimization of legacy systems.
Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across engineering teams.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system reliability and scalability.
Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and best practices.

Required Skills
Solid hands-on experience in C and C++
Solid experience in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot




Experience with legacy application development and modernization
Expertise in PostgreSQL, c-treeDB (FairCom), and Oracle Database
Robust SQL, query optimization, performance tuning, and database design experience
Experience with REST APIs, System Design, Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Multithreading, and Concurrent Programming
Solid Linux/Unix experience and Shell Scripting
Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines

Preferred
Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS)
Microservices architecture
Healthcare product/platform experience

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of software engineering experience.
Proven experience working with large-scale enterprise and legacy systems.
