Role Responsibilities – Test Engineer
Define verification criteria for features, functions, and field testing.
Plan and perform testing using simulation, rig tests, and physical vehicles.
Perform feature testing such as:
Performance and fuel consumption
Wind resistance and soiling
Climate testing
Durability testing
Noise testing
Understand function requirements and define test targets.
Manage customer relationships for field testing.
Define test strategies for recent technologies and field tests.
Identify verification needs and prepare test requirements and test plans.
Plan, prepare, and execute tests.
Analyze test results and provide recommendations.
Prepare and manage fault/issue reports from testing.
Document results and prepare engineering reports (ER).




Continuously improve test methods and technical requirements.
Develop test methods for recent technologies and transport solutions.
Support testing activities across current markets and test sites.
Take responsibility for test codes and test methods.
Act as a technical expert / go-to person in the assigned area.
Train and mentor junior/less experienced team members.
Build and maintain a technical network across the organization.
Work independently, take ownership of tasks, and show a proactive approach to learning and development.
Typically requires 2–5 years of relevant experience.
