Mandatory Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge and/or Apigee X
- API development and management
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, API design principles & OpenAPI/Swagger
- Hands-on experience configuring Apigee Policies, Target Servers, KVMs & Virtual Hosts
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitLab CI
- Strong API testing experience using Postman, SoapUI and cURL
- Demonstrable experience with PowerShell scripting
- Strong knowledge of HTTP/S, JSON, XML, OAuth and API Security
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills
- Good communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams

- GCP / AWS / Azure
- Microservices architecture and containerization
- Splunk / Grafana monitoring

- Java for custom Apigee policies such as ServiceCallout / JavaCallout

Key Responsibilities

- Design,



develop and deploy API proxies, target endpoints and shared flows on Apigee Edge/X
- Implement security, traffic management, mediation and error-handling policies
- Manage Apigee environments, configurations and virtual hosts
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for API deployment, testing and promotion
- Perform end-to-end API integration testing and validate API requests, responses and data integrity
- Ensure APIs return accurate data and appropriate 2xx, 4xx and 5xx response codes
- Participate in Apigee Edge to Apigee X migration activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API proxies, policies, shared flows and performance
- Analyze logs and perform Root Cause Analysis
- Work with GCP/Azure services and cloud-based API integrations
- Create and maintain API design, configuration and operational documentation
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, product owners and other stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance and support as an Apigee SME
