We're expanding our engineering team in Kerala and looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Backend Developer to join us full-time and grow with the company. We're looking for a Backend Developer with 2+ years of hands-on, project-based experience to design, build, and maintain robust server-side applications and APIs that power our products. You'll work closely with our engineering and product teams, contribute across the stack when needed, and play a key role in shaping the reliability and scalability of our systems.Role DescriptionThe Back End Developer is a full-time, remote role based in Kerala, India. This isn't just a coding role - we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. As the team and company scale, we're looking for someone who can take on greater ownership over time and eventually grow into a technical leadership role, mentoring other developers and helping shape our engineering practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring BootDesign, structure, and optimize relational database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL / SQLCollaborate with the team on frontend integration and feature development using Next.jsWrite clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable codeParticipate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisionsDebug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the application stackParticipate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-upsEnsure application performance, security, scalability, and data integrityWork with DevOps/deployment processes to ship features reliablyOccasionally visit client sites for meetings, requirement gathering, implementation support, or troubleshooting as neededTake ownership of features and projects end-to-end,



with increasing responsibility over timeRequirements2+ years of professional, project-based backend development experienceStrong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot in production or real-world projectsSolid working knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL, including query optimization and schema designIntermediate-level, project-based experience with Next.js for frontend developmentPractical understanding of RESTful API design, authentication, and integration patternsFamiliarity with Git and collaborative version control workflowsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environmentGood communication skills, both written and verbalOwnership mindset and interest in growing into a leadership or mentoring role over timeBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceCandidates must currently reside in Kerala.
