Responsibilities

- As a Principal Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering new end-to-end features for CirclesX Telco operating system, enhancing existing features and scaling them to millions of customers across multiple markets globally.
- You will closely work with the Product team and Solution Architecture team to convert new business requirements to tangible deliverables following a Scaled Agile delivery methodology by providing hands-on technical leadership to Staff, SSE and Junior engineers, contributing to the overall engineering maturity of the company.
- Gaining in-depth domain knowledge about the bounded contexts, customer experience and operator experience in CirclesX Telco operating system.
- Design and implement solutions in alignment with platform and DDD principles, adopting architectural standards and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams working on services and mentor engineers in adopting and implementing DDD concepts, best practices, and architectural standards.
- Refine business requirements with Product and Solution Architecture teams and convert high-level designs into detailed designs that are ready for engineering teams to implement, ensuring backward compatibility.
- Incorporate best practices and past learnings related to performance, reliability, and scalability into designs and implementations.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure designs and implementations adhere to security policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
- Implement monitoring and observability strategies to enable the engineering team to identify and address issues in production.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for applications, including design, implementation, APIs, and domain knowledge.
- Communicate progress, challenges,



and achievements to stakeholders such as product managers, domain experts, and other engineering teams.
- Own end-to-end delivery of assigned features by leading Staff, SSE and Junior Engineers within the Program Increment (PI).
- Guide team members, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of reliability and performance excellence.
- Provide L4 engineering support to field teams to maintain SLAs as needed.
- Work in a collaborative, agile environment with multiple cross-functional teams distributed across geographical locations.

Requirements

- Minimum 12+ years of industry experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent. MSc in Computer Science / Software Engineering will be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team of 6-10 engineers.
- Depth of hands-on coding experience and passion to get involved with implementation.
- In-depth understanding of at least one modern back-end framework/language with a focus on Java, Spring Boot and/or Golang.
- In-depth understanding of at least one contemporary front-end framework with a focus on ReactJS. Experience with Vanilla JS, CSS and jQuery.
- In-depth understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis; hands-on experience in query optimization and data modeling for scale and performance.
- In-depth understanding of Software Design Patterns and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
- In-depth understanding of application performance optimization in both backend and frontend.
- In-depth understanding of MSA, DevOps, Observability and Domain-Driven Design.
- Strong understanding of containerization and Kubernetes stack.
- Preferred experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana (ELK Stack) or similar.
