About the role

Neova Care is the rehabilitation arm of Nagarjuna Hospital, a 75-bed NABH-accredited multispecialty tertiary care facility in Kanuru, Vijayawada, established in 1992. The centre delivers post-hospitalisation orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation, along with geriatric and palliative care.

We are looking for a senior physiotherapist to lead this unit end to end. This is a dual-mandate role: you will own clinical quality and day-to-day operations of the centre, and you will personally build and maintain the referral network that fills it. Roughly 60% of your time will be clinical and operational leadership, 40% field-facing business development.

Key responsibilities

Clinical leadership

- Conduct assessments and design individualised rehabilitation programmes for ortho, neuro, geriatric and palliative patients
- Set and enforce treatment protocols, documentation standards, and outcome measurement across the unit
- Coordinate with orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, physicians and nursing teams on inpatient and post-discharge care plans
- Oversee patient safety, infection control, and adherence to NABH and Ayushman Bharat/Aarogyasri requirements

Unit management

- Lead, roster and mentor the physiotherapy and support staff; manage recruitment and performance
- Own daily operations: scheduling, occupancy, equipment upkeep, consumables and vendor coordination
- Track and report unit performance patient volumes, revenue, package uptake, therapy utilisation, outcomes
- Contribute to service expansion planning and recent therapy lines

Business development and referral network





- Make regular field visits to orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, physicians, nursing homes, hospitals and independent physiotherapy clinics in Vijayawada and surrounding districts
- Build, segment and maintain a structured referral database; log every visit and follow-up in the hospital CRM
- Design and run CMEs, workshops, camps and clinic-level awareness activities to generate referrals
- Own monthly referral and conversion targets; report on source-wise patient acquisition
- Work with the hospital's marketing team and agency partner on campaigns, content and local outreach

Candidate requirements

Essential

- MPT (Orthopaedics, Neurology or Sports) — BPT with exceptional relevant experience will be considered
- 6+ years of clinical physiotherapy experience, including at least 2 years leading a team or unit
- Demonstrated experience building doctor referral relationships or handling field-facing business development in healthcare
- Registration with the relevant state physiotherapy council
- Fluency in Telugu and English; willingness to travel locally on a daily basis; two-wheeler and valid licence

Preferred

- Experience in a dedicated rehabilitation centre, neuro-rehab unit or post-acute care setup
- Familiarity with HIMS/CRM systems and outcome-tracking tools
- Exposure to NABH documentation and government scheme empanelment

- Comfortable moving between a treatment room and a referring doctor's chamber in the same day
- Self-directed, target-oriented, and organised about follow-up
- Credible with senior clinicians
