The Audit Senior plays a pivotal role in leading and executing audit engagements for a diverse range of clients. They are responsible for overseeing audit teams, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, identifying risks, and providing valuable insights to clients to enhance their financial reporting processes

Role & responsibilities

Recommend risk management strategies to Managers, Senior Managers or Shareholders based on internal controls and business knowledge. • Document audit conclusions with sufficient evidence for the associated risk. • Develop audit programs and procedures relevant to risk and test objectives. • Prepare or review workpapers, letters, and financial statements, including footnote disclosures. • Complete or review engagement programs and audit risk assessments for approval. • Promptly take full ownership and accountability for workpapers, ensuring their completion to the highest standard by the designated deadline. • Demonstrate proactive ownership in consistently meeting job-level budgets,



with a transparent commitment to accountability and adherence to set timelines. • Perform detailed review of the teams work to ensure quality, thoroughness, and completion of assigned tasks within agreed time frames. • Use firm-provided audit software to review and compile financial information. • Understand U.S. GAAP, AICPA compilation and review standards, common audit procedures & techniques, and the firms quality control standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Relevant work experience.

3+ years of Audit experience, public accounting experience preferred.

• Experience preparing and/or reviewing audit workpapers and financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP

• Experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), HUD, Rural Development, or other affordable housing compliance and financial reporting requirements.
