About the Program:

Skill in Village (SiV), started in 2017, is an after-school activity-based program for students in rural vernacular-medium government schools, integrating essential life skills into language learning to empower students with 21st-century skills, fostering confidence and a passion for learning.

Desired Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Education, Social Work, Child Psychology, Social Sciences, or related fields.

Strong interest in curriculum development, teacher training, and adolescent learning.

Experience Minimum 1 year of experience in the education or development sector.

Experience working with school-based programs, teacher training, or children from vernacular-medium backgrounds will be preferred.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Canva, MS Excel, and Power BI.

Familiarity with dashboards and data tracking systems.

Solid documentation, reporting, and presentation skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

Curriculum and Training

Work with an enthusiastic team of Master Trainers and support the implementation of English and Life Skills training modules for Direct and Partnership programs.

Maintain an updated understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices of English and Life Skills education in India.

Identify and assess the learning and training needs of class 5th - 8th vernacular-medium students.

Plan, monitor, and periodically evaluate the effectiveness and success of training programs, and document the same.

Plan and monitor teachers professional development initiatives as per program requirements.

Develop academic calendar, training plans, monthly assessments, and annual reports.





Assist the academic head in secondary research to improve program quality and learning outcomes.

Assisting the academic head in developing assessments, curriculum content, proofreading, and quality parameters.

Collaborate with the Operations Team to execute training and assessments.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Documentation of the Program

Track content delivery, training implementation, and documentation across the centres through dashboards and an in-house tracking app, MIS.

Plan, monitor, and periodically evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and document key findings.

Visit the field to observe, collect feedback from trainers, and share feedback at the cluster level to improve the quality of monthly training.

Review academic data and documents to support program-level decision-making.

Assist the academic head in developing trackers, dashboards, monitoring systems, and processes to ensure quality delivery.

Showcasing Program Impact and Case Stories on Social Media

Develop a monthly newsletter for the program in coordination with the ground team.

Develop flyers, presentations, reports, and other communication materials as per program requirements.

Collect and document case studies, success stories, and field insights for funder and program communication.

Support social media and communication efforts by showcasing program impact and stories from the field and brainstorming new ideas/initiatives.
