Role & responsibilities
- Own the strategy, planning, and end-to-end execution of complex, multi-team technical programs
- Translate business objectives into technical program roadmaps, milestones, deliverables, and success metrics
- Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, product, architecture, QA, DevOps, security, data, and operations
- Drive program execution from requirements and design through development, testing, launch, and post-production
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to prioritize initiatives, resolve dependencies, and manage trade-offs
- Identify and mitigate technical, operational, resource, delivery, and business risks
- Establish program governance, KPIs/OKRs, reporting mechanisms, and executive-level dashboards
- Manage interdependencies across multiple projects, teams, platforms, and technology stacks
- Drive large-scale product/platform launches, migrations, modernization, integrations, and transformation initiatives
- Ensure programs remain aligned with timelines, budgets, quality standards, security requirements, and business goals
- Communicate program status, risks, decisions, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and executives
- Facilitate executive decision-making by providing data-driven analysis and transparent recommendations
- Manage external technology partners, vendors, and strategic stakeholders where required
- Establish and improve program management processes, delivery standards, and operational practices
- Mentor and develop Technical Program Managers, Project Managers, and program leadership teams
- Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, scalability, and improved engineering productivity
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 5 to 10 years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, software engineering, or technology delivery
- Experience leading large, complex, cross-functional technology programs involving multiple engineering teams
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, APIs, microservices, databases, cloud platforms, and distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and technical program governance
- Demonstrated experience managing roadmaps, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, and program-level KPIs/OKRs
- Ability to understand complex technical issues and translate them into business impact for senior stakeholders
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing, and decision-making skills
- Experience working closely with Engineering Managers, Architects, Product Managers, Security, Data, and Infrastructure teams
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using data, metrics, dashboards, and reporting to drive program decisions
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), platform modernization, system migrations, or enterprise integrations is advantageous
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Scrum/PSM, or equivalent certifications are desirable
- MBA/PGDM is an advantage for strategy, financial management, and business-facing responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence without direct authority and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
