About the Role

As an AI Coder at Fluid AI, you’ll work on building and improving software using both robust programming skills and modern AI coding tools.

You’ll work extensively with terminal-based AI agents like Claude Code and OpenAI Codex to write, debug, test, and improve code.

Responsibilities

- Use Claude Code and OpenAI Codex for development, debugging, and code improvement.
- Reimagine and transform our software development process to make it AI-native, fully automated, and end-to-end intelligent.
- Understand existing codebases and make changes efficiently using AI coding tools.
- Review and improve code generated by AI.
- Debug errors and solve technical problems independently.
- Build APIs, backend services, integrations, and application features.
- Write and maintain unit tests and other automated tests.
- Work with databases, APIs,



and external services.
- Use Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Improve development speed and code quality through effective use of AI coding tools.
- Explore new AI coding tools and development techniques.
- Work with the engineering team to build and improve Fluid AI products.

Required Skills

- 0–5 years of software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript or similar languages.
- Good understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, OOP, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code and/or OpenAI Codex.
- Understanding of terminal-based AI coding agents and AI-native development workflows.
- Ability to effectively use AI coding agents by providing the right context and instructions.
- Ability to read, understand, review, and debug AI-generated code.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
- Good knowledge of Git/GitHub.

Positive to Have

- Experience building AI/LLM-based applications or projects.
- Knowledge of MCP, RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar AI technologies.
- Experience with FastAPI, Node.js, React, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of Docker, Linux, or cloud platforms.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and automated testing.
