Providing primary health care services including OPD consultation to the workforce,
Giving medical emergency response and emergency treatment, resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill
or injured (trauma) patients.
Manage and coordinate medical evacuations from the site in conjunction with Falck ERC and the client.
Limited diagnosis and treatment of non-emergency medical conditions;
Management and administration including initial audit of equipment and medicines/drugs;
Maintain in date stock of medical consumables including drugs in compliance with legal and qualified
standards relating to purchase, storage, dispensing, administration and disposal of required
medicines/drugs while also ensuring that records of such purchase, storage, dispensing, administration and
disposal of drugs are properly maintained.
Ensure correct maintenance of medical equipment and check function regularly and maintain the clinic, ambulance and triage area plus first aid kits in conjunction with the nurse /paramedic. Ensure that the Patient assessment including history and physical examination, Diagnosis, medical prescription, treatment procedures including minor surgical or non-surgical interventions etc. are as per the latest medical advice and international best practices. Ensure that the segregation and disposal of bio medical waste is done as per the Bio medical waste laws and rules in force at that time. Reporting in accordance to Falck Standards & Procedures,
Group Practices. Maintain patients medical confidentiality as per international practice. Documentation, activity logs and confidential patient medical record-keeping associated with the above activities. Implementation of site health plans and preventive medicine activities as required, including health promotion and coordination of wellness activities; Inspect catering, accommodation, sewage treatment and general housekeeping on camp and track recommendations to completion with HSE. Participate in emergency response exercises and major incident plans with emergency response/HSE team at least quarterly. Coordinate all training activities in Basic First Aid (non-certified) at the site including, but not limited to, teaching and skill training of clients site personnel or any third party site designated by the client. Train first aiders, update medic skills and monitor their performance. Provide health education to the patients and conduct health activities as per the prescribed schedule. Ensure conformity to all medical guidelines and laws of the land in force at any particular moment. Ensure that the registration and any other legal obligation necessary to practice at the location of posting at that point in time is fulfilled before mobilization. Any other responsibility, duty or function assigned by the Falck head office.
