We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with around 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting and ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and plant equipment.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and plant equipment.
- Attend machine breakdowns and restore equipment within minimum possible downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in machines and equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC, VMC, press machines, grinding machines, lathe/milling machines and other manufacturing equipment.
- Check and troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, conveyors, sensors, switches, contactors and control panels.
- Handle basic troubleshooting of PLC, drives, relays, sensors and control circuits.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Carry out machine lubrication, alignment, servicing and replacement of worn-out components.
- Prepare and maintain Preventive Maintenance schedules, checklists and maintenance records.
- Maintain daily breakdown reports and analyze recurring machine problems.
- Coordinate with the Production Department to minimize machine downtime and production losses.
- Support installation, commissioning and trial runs of new machines and equipment.
- Maintain adequate stock of critical maintenance spares and coordinate with Stores/Purchase for requirements.
- Participate in TPM, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out as per company safety procedures and maintenance standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of machine history, breakdowns,



preventive maintenance and spare consumption.
- Coordinate with external vendors/service engineers whenever specialized machine maintenance is required.

Required Skills

- Valuable knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Practical knowledge of CNC/VMC and industrial machinery maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and electrical control circuits.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, sensors and drives.
- Ability to read basic electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of maintenance tools and measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and maintenance documentation.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with production and other departments.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 24 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/engineering industry.
- Experience in CNC/VMC, press shop, tool room or sheet-metal manufacturing will be preferred.
- Candidates having exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance and breakdown analysis will have an added advantage.
- Should be willing to work on the shop floor and attend urgent breakdown requirements when necessary.
- Candidate should be willing to work at Silvassa.
