Group Responsible AI Backend Engineer

In this role, you will

- Design backend components for lifecycle, approvals, audit and notifications
- Build Python FastAPI / Java and similar services with clean API design
- Design PostgreSQL data models and workflows
- Implement transactional workflow logic and lifecycle handling
- Engineer concurrency, consistency and resilience patterns
- Integrate with identity, notification and external systems
- Ensure security, auditability and observability
- Support CI/CD and production delivery pipelines
- Define coding standards and backend practices
- Collaborate across engineering and product teams

Technical Skills

- Strong backend engineering experience in enterprise systems
- Strong Python and FastAPI expertise / Java and similar
- Strong SQL and relational modelling skills
- Experience with workflow systems and API design
- Robust testing and DevOps practices
- 5+ years of relevant experience on application development

Preferred Skills

- Workflow or governance platform experience
- AI/ML governance exposure
- Cloud platform experience (GCP preferred)
- Experience mentoring engineers
