Job Summary

Tambaram Medical Center and Hospital is looking for a responsible, compassionate, and skilled Staff Nurse to provide quality nursing care to patients. The Staff Nurse will work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide quality nursing care to patients according to their medical needs.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and health conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the doctor.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
- Observe patients for changes in their condition and report abnormalities promptly.
- Follow infection-control practices and hospital safety protocols.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care as required.
- Assist in emergency care and respond promptly to patient needs.
- Educate patients and their attendants regarding basic care and treatment instructions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Ensure proper handover of patient information during shift changes.
- Coordinate with doctors, laboratory staff, pharmacy, and other hospital departments.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within the patient-care area.
- Follow all hospital policies, procedures,



and standard operating protocols.

Educational Qualification

- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / ANM, as applicable to the position.
- Valid nursing registration with the relevant State Nursing Council.
- Additional certifications relevant to the role will be an advantage.

Experience

- Freshers can apply, depending on hospital requirements.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting will be preferred.
