Casual Worker – Press & Godown
Location: Kottayam
Employment Type: Casual / Temporary

Job Purpose

To provide general operational and physical support in the Press and Godown to ensure smooth handling, movement, storage, and dispatch of books, printed materials, raw materials, and other goods.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in loading and unloading books, printed materials, raw materials, cartons, and other materials.
- Shift and arrange materials within the Press and Godown as instructed.
- Assist in packing, unpacking, bundling, stacking, and sorting books and other materials.
- Support the production team in routine press-related activities as required.
- Assist in receiving, counting, checking, and arranging materials in designated areas.
- Maintain proper stacking and organization of books, cartons, and other materials.
- Assist in picking and preparing materials/books for dispatch and delivery.
- Handle materials carefully to avoid damage, loss, or wastage.




- Keep the assigned work area clean, safe, and organized.
- Follow instructions from supervisors, Press/Godown In-charge, and other authorized personnel.
- Follow safety procedures while handling materials, equipment, and machinery.
- Assist in stock-taking and physical verification of materials whenever required.
- Report any damaged, missing, or misplaced materials to the supervisor.
- Perform other general duties related to Press and Godown operations as assigned by the management.

- Ability to perform physical/manual work.
- Positive stamina and ability to handle materials safely.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of counting, sorting, and arranging materials.
- Responsible and punctual approach to work.

Pay: ₹575.00 per day
