Job Summary:
A General Duty Assistant (GDA) provides basic patient-care and support services under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. The role involves assisting patients with daily activities, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and supporting nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
- Help transfer and reposition patients safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of patient areas and equipment.
- Measure and record basic observations as instructed by nursing staff.
- Assist nurses during routine patient-care procedures.
- Transport patients, samples, documents, and medical equipment as required.
- Help maintain adequate supplies in patient-care areas.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and hospital protocols.




- Provide basic comfort and emotional support to patients.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Perform other duties assigned by the nursing supervisor.
