Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations in the metal fabrication unit, ensuring that production targets are achieved in accordance with quality standards, safety regulations, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities including cutting, bending, welding, fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations.
- Implement production plans and ensure achievement of output targets within defined timelines.
- Allocate manpower, machines, and materials effectively to optimize productivity.
- Monitor adherence to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Planning departments for smooth workflow.
- Identify bottlenecks, production issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures, statutory norms, and PPE usage on the shop floor.
- Minimize material wastage, rework, and downtime through effective supervision.
- Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and daily output documentation.
- Train, guide, and evaluate shop-floor personnel to improve performance and skill levels.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections,



and customer visits as required.

Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and work instructions.

Experience

- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting.
- Prior experience in supervising shop-floor personnel is mandatory.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and welding practices.
- Familiarity with production planning and control concepts.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.

Language Requirements

- Tamil
- Hindi – (Basic Level)
- English –(Basic Level)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
