About the Role

Gulf Traders is looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Content Creator & Video Editor who can take responsibility for our day-to-day social media content.

This is primarily a work-from-home position, but the candidate must be available to visit our showroom occasionally for video shoots, product shoots, customer stories and campaign content.

We are not looking for someone who only edits videos. We need someone who can think of content ideas, plan shoots, edit videos and help publish content consistently.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate creative content ideas for Gulf Traders' social media pages.
- Plan Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts and other video content.
- Edit short-form videos in an engaging, modern style.
- Add subtitles, text, transitions, sound effects and suitable music.
- Create strong hooks and improve video retention.
- Occasionally visit the Gulf Traders showroom for video and product shoots.
- Shoot using smartphone/camera when required.
- Convert showroom activities, products and customer questions into content ideas.
- Create educational content related to tiles, granite, bathrooms and home construction.
- Edit customer testimonials and project videos.
- Prepare simple thumbnails, posters and social media creatives when required.
- Write basic captions and assist with posting content.
- Schedule and publish content on social media platforms.
- Follow current social media trends and adapt suitable trends for Gulf Traders.
- Maintain an organised content calendar.
- Suggest new content formats and series to improve reach, engagement and enquiries.
- Coordinate with the Gulf Traders team for offers,



new products and campaigns.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate should have:

- Strong video-editing skills.
- Good understanding of Instagram Reels and short-form content.
- Ability to create content ideas independently.
- Good sense of storytelling, hooks and pacing.
- Basic shooting and framing knowledge.
- Understanding of Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
- Ability to work independently from home.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain consistent posting.
- Willingness to visit the showroom occasionally for shoots.
- Malayalam communication skills.
- Basic English communication skills.

Experience with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or similar software is preferred.

Preferred Candidate

- Content creator / video editor with previous social media experience.
- Comfortable appearing behind the camera and directing people during shoots.
- Interested in home interiors, architecture, construction or lifestyle content.
- Understands what makes people stop scrolling.
- Can turn ordinary showroom activities into engaging videos.

Work Structure

Most work can be completed from home.

However, the candidate should be available for occasional planned visits to the Gulf Traders showroom for:

- Product shoots
- Presenter videos
- Customer testimonials
- Offers and campaigns
- New collection videos
- Behind-the-scenes content
