Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / HR Manager with 5+ years of strong HR experience in the retail industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, payroll processing, employee relations, recruitment, and statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of retail HR operations, including store/field workforce management, manpower planning, employee engagement, attendance, payroll, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end HR operations for retail and corporate employees.
- Handle monthly end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely salary disbursement.
- Verify attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, deductions, new joiners, exits, and other payroll inputs.
- Manage statutory compliances including PF, ESI, PT, TDS, gratuity, bonus, and other applicable regulations.
- Handle retail manpower planning and recruitment for store, field, and corporate positions.
- Manage employee onboarding, induction, transfers, confirmations, and exit formalities.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and employee queries.
- Manage attendance and leave processes and ensure accurate HRMS records.
- Prepare and maintain payroll reports, HR MIS, employee records, and management reports.
- Manage Full & Final Settlement (F&F;) and exit processes.
- Support performance management, appraisals, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and company HR policies.




- Work closely with store managers and business heads on manpower and employee-related matters.
- Monitor HR processes across multiple retail stores/locations and ensure consistency in implementation.
- Identify HR-related issues and implement practical solutions to improve employee experience and retention.

Requirements

- Master's degree in HR / Human Resources / Business Administration or related field is mandatory.
- Bachelor's-only candidates are not eligible.
- Minimum 5+ years of HR experience, with substantial experience in the retail industry.
- Strong retail HR knowledge and hands-on retail experience is mandatory.
- Proven experience managing store/field workforce and retail manpower.
- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Positive knowledge of statutory compliance, labour laws, PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and other applicable compliances.
- Experience with HRMS and payroll systems.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and people-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage HR operations and work closely with business/store teams.

Pay: Up to ₹600,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gurgaon H.O, Gurugram, Haryana: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
