Role Purpose
The Property Manager will be the custodian of Firgun Chapter Sajwar.
This role requires someone who can seamlessly combine hospitality, operations, storytelling, sustainability, leadership, community building, creativity, and business development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating unforgettable guest experiences while ensuring operational excellence, revenue growth, property development, and preservation of Sajwar's unique identity.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Hospitality
- Welcome every guest personally.
- Conduct property orientation.
- Build meaningful relationships with guests.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly.
- Ensure every guest leaves with unforgettable memories.
Property Operations
- Manage complete day-to-day operations.
- Supervise housekeeping, maintenance, café and guest areas.
- Ensure the property remains guest-ready at all times.
- Coordinate vendors and contractors.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is completed on schedule.
Front Office & Reservations
- Manage reservations and OTA platforms.
- Execute smooth check-ins and check-outs.
- Handle guest communication before, during, and after stays.
- Ensure billing accuracy and payment reconciliation.
- Maintain guest records and reservation systems.
Sales & Business Development
- Drive occupancy through direct bookings and repeat guests.
- Develop new revenue streams aligned with Sajwar's philosophy.
- Promote workshops, retreats, curated experiences, and local collaborations.
- Increase sales without compromising the property's peaceful identity.
Experience Design
Design and execute experiences including:
- Forest walks
- Waterfall explorations
- Village tours
- Local cooking experiences
- Bonfire storytelling
- Meditation sessions
- Farming experiences
- Bird watching
- Nature journaling
- Art workshops
- Cultural evenings
- Seasonal experiences
Sustainability & Community
- Promote sustainable tourism practices.
- Eliminate unnecessary plastic usage.
- Encourage waste segregation and composting.
- Build relationships with local farmers, artisans, guides, and entrepreneurs.
- Support the local economy through collaborations.
Local Products & Cuisine
- Introduce authentic Himachali products for retail.
- Develop gifting experiences using local products.
- Curate seasonal Himachali cuisine.
- Promote farm-to-table dining.
- Encourage the use of locally sourced ingredients.
Farming & Kitchen Garden
- Maintain the kitchen garden.
- Coordinate with local farmers.
- Promote seasonal produce.
- Develop small farming-based guest experiences.
Creativity & Property Development
- Continuously improve the aesthetics of the property.
- Plan and execute renovation projects.
- Develop new guest spaces.
- Create Instagram-worthy corners while preserving authenticity.
- Introduce innovative décor, installations, and artistic elements.
Marketing & Storytelling
- Capture authentic stories from Sajwar.
- Coordinate with the marketing team.
- Generate content showcasing the property, community, experiences, and local culture.
- Encourage guest-generated content.
Inventory & Financial Control
- Manage inventory and procurement.
- Conduct regular stock audits.
- Minimize wastage.
- Maintain cost controls.
- Provide accurate operational inputs for P&L; reporting.
Team Leadership
- Conduct daily morning and closing briefings.
- Train and mentor team members.
- Build a culture of ownership and accountability.
- Develop second-line leaders within the property.
- Ensure SOP implementation across departments.
Innovation & Business Growth
The Property Manager is expected to think beyond operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Introduce at least one new revenue stream every four months.
- Develop and implement new operational systems and process improvements.
- Build and mentor at least one second-line leader every four months.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improving revenue, guest experience, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Present innovative ideas and strategic recommendations to management on a regular basis.
