About the project

We are looking for an experienced freelance Interior Architect or Technical Interior Designer to support the design development and technical documentation of a residential villa-renovation project in Dubai.

This is a remote, project-based assignment with milestone-linked deliverables. The selected designer will work closely with the lead designer to translate the approved brief and design direction into coordinated layouts, 3D models, renders and interior technical drawings.

The project and client details are currently confidential and will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

Scope of work

1. Space planning and design development

- Develop and refine furniture and space-planning layouts
- Explore internal layout options based on the project brief
- Incorporate client and lead-designer feedback
- Coordinate fixed architectural elements, furniture and circulation
- Identify unresolved information and raise RFIs before proceeding

2. 3D modelling and visualisation

- Develop a coordinated SketchUp model from the approved layout
- Model key architectural, interior and fixed-joinery elements
- Apply approved finishes, materials, lighting and furniture
- Produce high-quality photorealistic renders
- Update the model and views following design reviews

3. Interior technical-drawing package

Depending on the final project scope, the drawing package may include:

- Existing/as-built drawing updates based on the provided CAD base and survey information
- Proposed general-arrangement plans
- Dimensioned furniture-layout plans
- Demolition and construction plans
- Setting-out plans
- Floor-finish layouts
- Reflected ceiling plans
- Ceiling-level and bulkhead details
- Lighting layouts
- Switching plans
- Power, data and electrical layouts
- Plumbing and sanitary-fixture layouts
- Interior elevations and sections
- Kitchen and bathroom elevations
- Tiling layouts
- Door and finish schedules
- Typical interior construction details
- Coordination of dimensions, levels,



finishes and drawing references across the package

4. Joinery design-intent drawings

- Prepare detailed design-intent drawings for custom joinery
- Provide relevant plans, front elevations, internal elevations and sections
- Indicate overall dimensions, internal divisions and functional requirements
- Specify material and finish references
- Develop visible profiles, shutters, handles, grooves, plinths, shadow gaps, open shelves and LED integration
- Coordinate joinery with electrical points, appliances, lighting, mirrors, stone and adjacent finishes
- Incorporate approved design and coordination comments

The appointed contractor or specialist fabricator will remain responsible for site verification, fabrication methodology, structural and installation fixings, hardware engineering, material thicknesses, tolerances and fabrication/shop drawings. Fabrication-level shop drawings and cutting lists are not part of this role unless separately agreed.

Required experience and skills

- Qualification in interior architecture, architecture or interior design
- Relevant experience in residential interior-design projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Proficiency in a suitable rendering software
- Ability to prepare coordinated plans, elevations, sections and details
- Demonstrable experience producing detailed joinery design-intent drawings
- Good understanding of interior construction, materials, finishes, lighting and basic MEP coordination
- Ability to work from briefs, mark-ups, reference images and design-review comments
- Strong attention to dimensions, drawing coordination and buildability
- Clear communication and ability to raise RFIs where information is missing
- Good drawing-numbering, file-management and revision-control practices
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed milestones

Experience with high-end residential or villa-renovation projects is preferred. Familiarity with Dubai/UAE interior projects would be an advantage but is not mandatory.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
