1. Position Details

- Designation: Trainee Engineer – Mechanical
- Department: Projects / Site Operations
- Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME)
- Experience: Fresher / 0–1 Year
- Location: Project Sites / Client Locations across India
- Reporting To: Site Engineer / Project Manager / Project Head

2. Job Purpose

To support the execution of mechanical projects at site by assisting senior engineers in planning, supervision, installation, inspection, documentation, and coordination of mechanical works while developing practical knowledge and technical skills through on-the-job training.

3. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Site Execution

- Assist senior engineers in day-to-day supervision of mechanical works at project sites.
- Understand and follow project drawings, specifications, method statements, and work instructions.
- Assist in the execution of piping, equipment installation, structural, fabrication, erection, and other mechanical activities as applicable.
- Monitor work progress and ensure activities are carried out as per approved drawings and project requirements.
- Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, fitters, welders, helpers, and subcontractors for smooth execution of work.
- Assist in ensuring proper utilisation of manpower, tools, equipment, and materials.

B. Quality & Inspection

- Understand and follow applicable quality procedures and inspection requirements.
- Assist in checking dimensions, alignment, levels, fit-up, installation, and workmanship.
- Coordinate with the Quality/Inspection team for required inspections.
- Report deviations, defects,



or quality issues to the reporting engineer immediately.
- Maintain required inspection and quality-related records.

c. Documentation & Reporting

- Assist in preparing daily progress reports, manpower reports, material reports, and other site documentation.
- Maintain records of work completed, manpower deployed, materials consumed, and equipment used.
- Assist in preparing measurements and quantity-related records.
- Update work progress as instructed by the senior engineer.
- Maintain project drawings, checklists, inspection records, and other relevant documents.

E. Material & Tools Coordination

- Assist in checking materials received at site against requirements.
- Ensure proper identification, handling, storage, and utilisation of materials.
- Coordinate with the stores/site team regarding material requirements.
- Assist in monitoring tools, tackles, and equipment required for execution.

4. Candidate Requirements

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) from a recognised institution.
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts.
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, will be an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work at project sites and travel/relocate anywhere in India.
- Willingness to work in site conditions and, when required, in shifts or extended working hours.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop practical technical skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
