Sol's ARC is a registered NGO working to ensure that every child learns and every adult earns — through inclusive education, vocational skilling and systemic advocacy with government bodies at state and national levels. For over 20 years, we have partnered with governments, donors and communities to create systemic change and equity for Persons with Disabilities, with a reach of over 4 million beneficiaries across India.This role sits within our Monitoring & Evaluation function, which is the evidence backbone of every programme Sol's ARC runs. The M&E; team is responsible for ensuring that our programmes are tracked rigorously, our data systems are reliable, and our impact is communicated clearly to donors, governments and communities. The work spans programme documentation, data system design, field quality assurance and donor reporting — across four active states

.About the Role

This is a central role within Sol's ARC's M&E; team, created for someone who is equally comfortable designing a data framework and following up with a field officer on data accuracy. The Program Manager — M&E; will manage documentation systems, design and administer data collection tools, analyse programme data and translate it into explicit, evidence-based reports for donors and leadership.The role requires someone who is comfortable working across teams — with programme managers, field officers, technology teams and external partners — and can hold the rigour of data quality while also communicating what the numbers mean to people who work in the field. It is as much a communication role as a systems role.The person will be expected to travel to field locations to ensure data quality at source and build the capacity of field teams to collect, manage and use data effectively.

How Will You Spend Your Time?

You will work 5 days a week — primarily from the Mumbai HO, with field travel as required. What Will You Typically Do?

1.M&E; Systems, Documentation & Reporting

- Ensure all data collection systems and tools are aligned with programme goals and donor reporting frameworks.
- Design M&E; forms and data collection tools for field use.
- Develop dashboards, MIS reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.




- Collaborate with technology teams to develop or integrate tools that support streamlined data collection and management.
- Prepare programme and donor reports with well-documented data, analysis and evidence of impact — submitted on time with no discrepancies.
- Prepare regular programme briefs based on surveys and assessments to support programmatic development and strategic decision-making.
- Develop logframes, define indicators and support proposal development as required.
- Track all programme activities, milestones and impact data throughout the year.

2. Data Analysis, Quality Checks & Programme Monitoring

- Analyse programme data — both quantitative and qualitative — to identify trends, challenges and opportunities for programme enhancement.
- Conduct data quality checks and validation across all field-collected datasets.
- Monitor programme indicators and their progress against targets.
- Identify trends, gaps and areas requiring improvement or corrective action — and communicate findings clearly to programme leads.
- Conduct field visits as required to verify data quality at source and resolve data collection challenges.

3. Data Management

- Maintain detailed, organised records in a central repository that facilitate easy retrieval of information for team use and donor communications.
- Design and implement effective data collection protocols and processes for various programmes — ensuring data integrity, accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure all data collection, storage and management follow data privacy and protection protocols.
- Coordinate with field and programme teams on data requirements, data collection challenges and gaps.
- Ensure data collection is complete, consistent and usable for analysis across all active programmes.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration & Capacity Building

- Conduct cross-team discussions to understand programme implementation and data collection challenges on the ground.
- Provide M&E; and platform-related technical support to programme teams.
- Build programme teams' capacity to collect, manage and use data effectively — through training, structured support and ongoing follow-up.
- Participate in team meetings, sharing insights and keeping staff informed on documentation and data management practices.
- Represent Sol's ARC in donor reviews and external evaluations as required.

Who Are We Looking For?

- Has 3–5 years of hands-on experience in programme documentation, data collection and monitoring & evaluation — preferably in a development sector organisation.
- Has demonstrated ability to design and manage data collection processes across multi-site programmes.
- Has prior experience in M&E; frameworks, donor reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
- Is proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel or Looker; experience with digital MIS or data management platforms is an advantage.
- Has strong analytical skills and can translate data insights into actionable programme recommendations.
- Communicates clearly and confidently in English and Hindi — written and spoken. Marathi or other regional languages are an advantage.
- Is willing to travel across rural and urban India to support field teams and data collection efforts.
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Data Science, Programme Management or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Believes in the right of Persons with Disabilities to participate fully in education, livelihoods and community life — and understands why data rigour is central to making that happen.
