About the Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to own the entire technology infrastructure of our broking operations — servers, network, security and compliance. The role carries direct responsibility for trading-hour uptime, exchange and SEBI technology compliance, and the security posture of the organisation. Prior experience in a stock broking, depository participant or BFSI environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems
- Installation, configuration, patching and troubleshooting of Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file and print services) and Windows workstations
- Installation, hardening and troubleshooting of Linux servers used for trading, back-office and monitoring workloads
- Manage virtualisation, storage and backup infrastructure; verify and test restores regularly
- Administer Google Workspace — user lifecycle, security settings, 2FA, DLP, mail routing, archival and retention
- Day-to-day desktop, laptop, printer, dealer terminal and peripheral hardware/software support
- Manage UPS, power backup, server room environment and physical access controls
- Maintain accurate asset inventory, licence records and IT documentation
Trading & Broking Applications
- Ensure availability and performance of trading platforms and dealer/CTCL terminals during market hours, including pre-market readiness checks and end-of-day processes
- Coordinate with RMS, back-office and DP teams on software issues, file uploads/downloads and exchange file processing
- Manage back-office application servers, databases and scheduled jobs; support day-begin and day-end activities
- Liaise with exchange technology desks,
software vendors and ISPs for terminal approvals, ID mapping, leased lines, VSAT/backup links and issue escalation
- Support KYC, digital onboarding, e-sign, IBT/mobile trading and API integrations
Network & Security
- Configure and manage firewalls, managed switches, routers, VLANs, VPN and site-to-site links across HO, branches and Authorised Persons
- Manage endpoint protection, EDR/antivirus, email security, patch management and privileged access
- Operate or coordinate with the SOC — log collection, SIEM alerts, incident triage, containment and closure
- Deploy and maintain server and network monitoring tools (uptime, bandwidth, latency, capacity, alerting)
- Maintain link redundancy and failover for trading connectivity
IT Compliance & Audit (Exchange / SEBI)
- Arrange and close periodic VAPT and penetration testing; track remediation and submit reports within exchange timelines
- Ensure adherence to SEBI's Cyber Security and Cyber Resilience Framework and applicable NSE/BSE/MCX/NSDL/CDSL technology circulars
- Coordinate the annual/half-yearly System Audit with empanelled auditors and close observations
- Maintain log retention, audit trails, time synchronisation and record-keeping as prescribed by the regulator
- Report cyber incidents to exchanges and CERT-In within stipulated timelines
- Maintain and periodically test the DR/BCP plan, including live DR drills, documented RTO/RPO and sign-offs
- Maintain IT policies — access control, change management, password, BYOD, acceptable use — and evidence for inspections
- Support exchange inspections and internal audits with documentation and system evidence
Management
- Lead and mentor the IT support team; define escalation matrix and response SLAs
- Manage vendors, AMCs, contracts and the IT budget
- Plan capacity, upgrades and new branch/AP IT rollouts
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or related field (BE/BTech/BCA/MCA)
- 5+ years in IT infrastructure, with at least 2 years in a broking, depository participant or BFSI environment
- Strong hands-on Windows Server and Linux administration
- Practical firewall and managed switch configuration experience (Sophos, Fortinet, Cisco, SonicWall or similar)
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices, SOC/SIEM operations and VAPT processes
- Familiarity with SEBI/exchange IT and cyber-security compliance requirements
- Google Workspace administration
- Experience with monitoring tools (PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds or similar)
- Sound hardware and software troubleshooting ability
- Robust incident handling, documentation and vendor coordination skills
