Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Fleet Manager to oversee the company's fleet operations, including vehicle utilization, driver management, vehicle maintenance, documentation, fuel monitoring, and overall fleet efficiency.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing commercial/heavy vehicles, drivers, maintenance activities, and day-to-day fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise the company's fleet of buses, water tanker lorries, and other commercial vehicles.
- Plan and monitor daily vehicle deployment and ensure maximum vehicle utilization.
- Manage and coordinate drivers, including attendance, duty allocation, shift planning, leave and performance.
- Monitor vehicle movement, routes, fuel consumption and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained in safe and roadworthy condition.
- Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance and periodic servicing.
- Coordinate with mechanics, workshops and service centres for vehicle repairs and breakdowns.
- Handle emergency breakdowns and ensure minimum vehicle downtime.
- Monitor fuel consumption and identify abnormal fuel usage or wastage.
- Maintain records of vehicle servicing, repairs,



tyres, batteries, fuel and spare parts.
- Monitor tyre condition, tyre replacement and tyre rotation.
- Ensure timely renewal and maintenance of RC, Insurance, Fitness Certificate, Permit, Pollution Certificate and other vehicle-related documents.
- Ensure drivers possess valid licences and required documentation.
- Monitor vehicle-related expenses and maintain proper records.
- Coordinate with the Stores / Spare Parts team for vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly fleet operation reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and applicable transportation regulations.
- Take immediate corrective action in case of accidents, vehicle breakdowns or operational issues.
- Maintain proper documentation for accidents, repairs, service history and vehicle performance.
- Coordinate with management and other departments to ensure smooth fleet operations.
