- Handle IPD (In-Patient Department) billing from admission to final discharge.
- Prepare and verify patient bills, including room charges, procedures, medicines, investigations, and other hospital services.
- Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, OT, and other departments for accurate charge posting.
- Process cash, credit, insurance, TPA, and corporate patient billing as applicable.
- Verify insurance/TPA approvals and required billing documentation.
- Prepare final bills and coordinate with patients/attendants for settlement at discharge.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, missed charges, and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documents.
- Handle queries related to patient bills and explain charges when required.
- Ensure billing is completed accurately and within hospital policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline; preferably B.Com/BBA or healthcare-related qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience in hospital/IPD billing preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital billing procedures and insurance/TPA processes.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and hospital management/billing software.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends/holidays if required.
