Job Overview:

Summary/Objective
Experienced Quality Engineer specializing in cryogenic pump assembly and testing for marine, industrial gas, LNG, and air separation applications. Expertise in dimensional inspection, assembly verification, non-conformance management, and quality control processes. Adept at reviewing engineering drawings, monitoring critical quality characteristics, and ensuring compliance with international quality and safety standards. Dedicated to achieving operational excellence through robust quality systems, process improvement initiatives, and a strong focus on product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities

- Ensure marine products comply with customer specifications, classification society requirements, and applicable regulatory standards through rigorous quality inspections and verification processes.
- Perform quality inspections and verification of cryogenic pump assembly activities to ensure compliance with approved engineering drawings, technical specifications, work instructions, and established quality standards.
- Review inspection and test records for compliance.
- Identify and report quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement activities.
- Incoming Inspection of raw material & cryogenic pump parts.
- Verify critical dimensions, tolerances, clearances, and alignment requirements during assembly.
- Ensure correct assembly of pump components, including impellers, shafts, bearings, seals, couplings, and associated equipment.
- Ensure all tools and measuring instruments are calibrated.




- Pressure testing of pump assembly, marine products & piping skid.
- Helium & Vacuum inspection.
- Blasting & Painting inspection.
- Issue NCR
- Maintain and control assembly records, inspection reports, deviation reports, and quality documentation to ensure traceability, compliance, and adherence to IMS requirements.
- Responsibility to ensure the conformity to its integrated management system
- Responsibility for reporting the performance of the IMS and on opportunity for improvement, in particular to Management.
- Responsibility for measuring, monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of IMS Objective
- Responsibility for maintained and be made available extended necessary of organizational knowledge.
- Responsibility for retaining and maintaining documented information
- Responsibility for correcting, preventing, or reducing undesired effects.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, productivity, safety, and cost reduction.
- Coordinate with customers, inspectors, and third-party agencies during required inspections and audits.

Authority

- Approve products that meet specified requirements.
- Reject or hold non-conforming products.
- Request corrective actions for quality issues.
- Escalate critical quality concerns to management.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Work Workplace

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers,



and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience and skills

- Diploma Mechanical / BE Mechanical
- Minimum 4-6 (BE) Years or 5-8 (Diploma) years of experience required.
- Good understanding of Marine Class rules and requirements.
- Knowledge of marine product specifications and standards.
- Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and documents.
- Familiarity with quality inspection and testing requirements.
- Sound mathematical and technical skills.
- Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to think logically and methodically.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively.
- Knowledge of statistical packages and Microsoft Office systems normally required.
- Proficient in the use of measuring equipment, Faro Arm, Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gage
- Dimensional inspection experience of machined components.
- Previous exposure to a machine shop, foundry or sheet metal shop.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Quality System auditing and reporting experience.
- In depth working knowledge of IECEx ATEXISO 9001 standards.
- Understanding standard manufacturing and safety compliance processes.
