Civil Engineer (Residential Construction)

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer with hands-on experience in residential construction to manage and supervise in office activities in Coonoor. The ideal candidate should be technically strong, capable of interpreting drawings, and confident in handling site execution independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage day-to-day construction work at site
- Ensure execution as per approved drawings, plans, and specifications
- Read and interpret CAD drawings, contour maps, and architectural/structural plans
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and site workers
- Monitor construction quality, materials, and workmanship
- Track project progress and maintain site reports
- Identify and resolve technical and on-site issues
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and project timelines

Requirements





- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in residential/house construction
- Strong ability to read and understand CAD drawings, contour drawings, and construction plans
- Proven experience in site supervision and execution
- Willingness to work on-site in Coonoor

Additional Requirements

- Must know how to drive a two-wheeler or four-wheeler for site travel
- Ability to independently supervise labour and contractors

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in construction in hilly terrain (highly preferred)
- Knowledge of Hindi and Tamil will be an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of estimation, billing, and material planning
