Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Quality Incharges to manage and monitor quality activities across the manufacturing process. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, process compliance, inspection activities, and timely resolution of quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Supervise and guide Quality Inspectors and inspection activities.
- Review inspection reports and ensure proper documentation.
- Identify and analyze internal quality issues, defects, rework, and rejection.
- Coordinate with Production and other departments for corrective actions.
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for recurring quality problems.
- Ensure proper use and calibration of measuring and inspection instruments.
- Monitor process quality at stamping, welding, machining, grinding, and other manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with approved control plans, inspection standards, work instructions, and process parameters.
- Support customer complaints, root-cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
- Conduct quality checks and audits at various stages of production.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, rejection reports, and other relevant documents.
- Promote 5S, quality awareness, and continuous improvement within the shop floor.
- Support implementation and maintenance of IATF 16949 and other applicable quality system requirements.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of automotive component quality and inspection.
- Robust knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and basic problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
- Ability to identify quality problems and coordinate effective corrective actions.
- Willingness to work in a shift-based manufacturing environment.
Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma / Any Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or related discipline.
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in quality control/quality assurance, preferably in the automotive component manufacturing industry.
