Job Purpose

To provide theoretical and practical training to candidates on Electric Vehicle (EV) servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, electrical systems, battery systems, safety procedures, and troubleshooting, as per the applicable qualification pack and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct theory and practical training for EV Technician candidates.
- Explain EV architecture, major components, and working principles.
- Provide hands-on training on EV motors, controllers, batteries, BMS, chargers, DC-DC converters, and related electrical systems.
- Train candidates in EV preventive maintenance, inspection, servicing, and basic repairs.
- Demonstrate the use of multimeters, scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and other EV service tools.
- Train candidates in identifying electrical and electronic faults and performing basic troubleshooting.
- Explain battery charging, battery management, battery health, and basic battery diagnostics.
- Train candidates in safe handling of high-voltage EV systems and components, including isolation and appropriate PPE.
- Demonstrate safe procedures for working around high-voltage batteries and electrical systems.
- Train candidates on reading basic wiring diagrams and electrical circuits.
- Conduct practical demonstrations, assignments, mock repair activities, and assessments.
- Monitor trainee attendance, performance, and practical skill development.
- Maintain training records, assessment records, equipment records, and other required documentation.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and secure handling of training equipment and EV training kits.




- Support trainees in developing industry-ready technical and workplace skills.
- Coordinate with the Center Head/project team regarding batch planning, assessments, and placement activities.

Educational Qualification & Experience

ITI holders: Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience on assembly lines (preferably in EV or automobile manufacturing) or Diploma holders: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience on assembly lines (preferably in EV or automobile manufacturing) and Required 2 years of experience training or mentoring workers or trainees in a factory, workshop, or vocational classroom setting, Functional English oral and written communication skills, Basic knowledge of MS Office

Relevant trainer certification/ToT and QP eligibility should be verified as per the latest applicable requirements.
