Job Summary

The Buyer is responsible for managing inventory and supply planning activities to ensure optimal stock levels across multiple distribution centres while meeting customer delivery requirements. The position involves raising and managing purchase and work orders, maintaining strong supplier relationships, monitoring demand forecasts, and ensuring accurate system data. The role also supports issue resolution, including supplier invoice discrepancies, delivery delays, and non-conforming materials, to maintain an efficient and reliable supply chain

Key Responsibilities

- For assigned portfolio of items, optimize inventory levels across multiple distribution centres and achieve customer on time delivery goals.
- Issue purchase orders and work orders in support of distribution plans and customer requirements. Work directly with assigned suppliers to obtain delivery and availability information.
- Maintain purchase orders placed with up-to-date details on delivery, communicating to internal stakeholders any issues that may arise and escalate accordingly through the chain of command.
- Work with the assigned supplier to expedite and/or realign purchase order dates with customer requirements.
- Review site-level demand forecasts by SKU and work with forecast analysts to ensure forecast accuracy.
- Maintain accurate system data, such as bills of material, purchase costs, lead times, etc.
- Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies and coordinate disposition of non-conforming material.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 1+ years’ experience in inventory management, buying, procurement, or supply chain.




- Ability to optimise stock levels and meet customer delivery targets.
- Experience managing purchase orders and supplier relationships.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and maintaining accurate data.
- Ability to resolve supplier invoice discrepancies and material issues.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
