## Job Overview

We are looking for a highly capable and proactive Logistics Coordinator to oversee our daily transportation operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless product distribution, optimizing shipping routes, and keeping logistics costs to a absolute minimum.

The ideal candidate must possess complete operational knowledge of three key modes of transportation: Own Fleet/Vehicles, External/Third-Party Transporters, and Direct Parcel Delivery (DPD/Speed Post) as a final, urgent alternative.

## Key Responsibilities## 1. Fleet & Mode Optimization

* Analyze shipment volume, weight, and urgency to logically assign the correct mode of transport (Own Fleet vs. Third-Party vs. DPD).

* Handle immediate decision-making for premium/speed delivery channels when a customer requires urgent distribution.

## 2. Cost Control & Vendor Management

* Negotiate rates with existing and new external transporters to scale our vendor network.

* Conduct direct rate comparisons between multiple transporters to identify the most cost-effective solution without compromising service.

* Identify leaks, unexpected expenses, or cost variances (e.g., unexpected route expenses) to actively lower overall transport costs.

## 3. Reporting & Financial Tracking

* Maintain accurate accounting of trip costs,



factoring in both variable expenses (fuel, tolls) and fixed costs (insurance, maintenance, depreciation).

* Generate and present regular Route Margin Reports to executive management to prove shipment profitability.

* Investigate and rectify low-profit margins or loss-making routes.

## 4. Dispatch & Compliance Operations

* Monitor vehicle dispatch sequences, verifying all necessary commercial vehicle documentation and compliance checklists before departure.

* Coordinate transit routes, ensuring drivers adhere to assigned paths and arrive at target destinations on schedule.

* Investigate delivery delays, check driver-submitted route evidence, and troubleshoot logistical bottlenecks in real-time.

## Required Skills & Qualifications

* Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in logistics, fleet coordination, or dispatch operations (FMCG sector experience is a major plus).

* Core Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of transport cost structures, margin evaluation, and driver management.

* Sourcing Skills: Proven ability to source, contact, and onboard new logistics vendors and commercial transporters.

* Technical Skills: Competency in MS Excel (for managing data and calculating margins) and basic GPS tracking tools.

* Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation tactics, quick problem-solving abilities, and solid communication skills.

Pay: ₹10,455.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
