Merchandiser – Junior / Senior

Location: Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu
Function: Marketing Merchandising for Apparel Exports Industry

About the Role

We are looking for a Merchandiser – Junior/Senior to manage marketing merchandising, product development, pre- and post-order activities, local sourcing, sampling, and coordination with customers, vendors, and factories.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage product development, sampling, fit approvals, R&D;, sealing samples, and production files.
- Understand tech packs and ensure samples, measurements, quality, and timelines meet buyer requirements.
- Coordinate with factories, customers, internal teams, and vendors for smooth order execution.
- Support new customer development, market intelligence, and local buyer requirements.
- Develop and maintain fabric/vendor databases, swatches, and sample hangers.
- Handle local sourcing of fabrics, trims, and accessories, including order placement and follow-up.
- Ensure timely approvals, documentation, order closure, and post-shipment reporting.




- Coordinate local and international courier/logistics requirements.
- Provide regular updates on sampling and merchandising status.

Requirements

Education: Graduate

Experience:

- Junior Merchandiser: 3–4 years
- Senior Merchandiser: 8–10 years

Key Skills

- Strong knowledge of woven and knitted fabrics, garment construction, costing, and product development.
- Understanding of garment testing parameters and buyer requirements.
- Positive communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Positive work ethic, learning agility, and critical-thinking ability.
- Experience working with factories, vendors, and internal merchandising teams.

- Languages known - English, Hindi, Telugu
