Job Overview

SSPYV is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified Part-Time Music Teacher to provide engaging and age-appropriate music education to students. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in vocal and/or instrumental music, good communication skills, and the ability to inspire students to develop an interest and appreciation for music.

The teacher will be responsible for developing students' musical abilities, rhythm, voice modulation, listening skills, creativity, confidence, and performance skills, while encouraging active participation in individual and group musical activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach music to students in accordance with the school's curriculum and activity schedule.
- Plan and conduct engaging, age-appropriate, and activity-based music sessions.
- Train students in vocal and/or instrumental music based on their age and ability levels.
- Develop students' understanding of rhythm, melody, pitch, tempo, voice modulation, and basic music theory.
- Teach appropriate songs,training,



bhajans, patriotic songs, folk music,slokams and other suitable musical compositions.
- Prepare and train students for school assemblies, annual day programmes, cultural events, competitions, celebrations, and special occasions.
- Conduct individual and group practice sessions and ensure students are adequately prepared for performances.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, discipline, and stage presence among students.
- Handle musical instruments and other resources responsibly and ensure their proper use during classes and practice sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and school management in planning and organising cultural and musical programmes.
- Participate in relevant school events, rehearsals, meetings, and programmes as required.
- Support the overall discipline, well-being, cultural awareness, and holistic development of students.
- Uphold the values, policies, culture, and educational vision of SSPYV at all times.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

- Degree, Diploma, or recognised certification in Music from a recognised institution is preferred.
- Robust knowledge and practical experience in vocal and/or instrumental music.
- Previous experience teaching music to school-going children is preferred.
- Willingness to work on a part-time basis according to the school's scheduled days and hours.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
