Job Description – RCM Analyst (US Healthcare)
Job Title: RCM Analyst - US Healthcare
Experience: Freshers to 2 Years
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Work Mode: Work from Office / In-Person
Shift: US Night Shift - Mandatory
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented RCM Analysts to join our US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. This role is suitable for freshers and candidates with 0–2 years of experience who are interested in building a career in the US Healthcare industry.
The RCM Analyst will be responsible for supporting various stages of the US Healthcare Revenue Cycle, including payment posting, claims processing, accounts receivable, denial management, insurance follow-up, and patient account resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Payment Posting for insurance and patient payments.
- Post EOB (Explanation of Benefits) and ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice) accurately.
- Review and understand EOBs, ERAs, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and revenue codes.
- Identify and work on underpayments, overpayments, contractual adjustments, and patient responsibility.
- Perform Insurance Verification and Eligibility checks when required.
- Assist with Claims Submission, Claims Status, and Claims Follow-up.
- Work on Accounts Receivable (AR) and outstanding insurance balances.
- Perform AR Follow-up with insurance companies/payers.
- Research and resolve Claim Denials and Rejections.
- Handle Denial Management by identifying denial reasons and taking appropriate corrective action.
- Understand common denial categories such as CO, PR, OA, and PI adjustments.
- Work on Aging Reports and prioritize accounts based on aging and payer requirements.
- Assist with Medical Billing and Claims Adjudication processes.
- Understand HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Work with US insurance payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial/Private Insurance, and Managed Care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update account notes in the relevant Practice Management / EHR / Billing systems.
- Meet defined productivity, quality, accuracy, and turnaround-time (TAT) targets.
- Escalate complex accounts and issues to the appropriate team members.
- Follow established SOPs, payer guidelines, and client-specific processes.
Required Skills
- Good English communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Basic understanding of computers and MS Office.
- Ability to understand and follow process guidelines/SOPs.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with large volumes of data and repetitive processes.
- Willingness to learn US Healthcare and Medical Billing concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Candidates should be comfortable communicating in English with internal teams and, where applicable, US-based stakeholders.
Eligibility
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with 0–2 years of experience in US Healthcare RCM, Medical Billing, Payment Posting, AR Calling/Follow-up, Claims Processing, Denial Management, or related processes are preferred.
- Graduates from any relevant discipline may apply.
- Prior experience in US Healthcare RCM/BPO/KPO is an advantage but not mandatory for freshers.
Shift & Work Location: US NIGHT SHIFT - MANDATORY
- This is a US Healthcare process, and candidates must be comfortable working in US night-shift timings.
- Work from Office / In-Person only.
- Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka.
- Candidates should be willing to work night shifts on a regular basis.
