Role description

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain DB2 stored procedures and database functions on IBM i AS400

Optimize and tune complex SQL queries for performance and scalability

Develop and maintain enterpriselevel reports using DB2 SQL and related tools

Collaborate with business analysts and application developers to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions

Troubleshoot and resolve databaserelated issues ensuring data integrity and system reliability

Participate in code reviews testing and deployment of database changes

Document database objects processes and best practices

Required Skills Experience

8-12 years of experience with DB2 for IBM i AS400 database development

Strong expertise in writing and optimizing stored procedures triggers and userdefined functions

Advanced SQL skills including query tuning and performance optimization

Experience with report development and data extraction for business intelligence

Familiarity with IBM i AS400 system tools and utilities

Understanding database security backup and recovery processes

Excellent problemsolving and communication skills

Solid experience with Operational Data Store ODS concepts and data modeling DLM is essential

Proven ability to design and model application databases for transactional and reporting systems
