JOB DESCRIPTION – ANM NURSE

Job Summary

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and experienced ANM Nurse to provide quality nursing support and patient care. The candidate will assist doctors and staff nurses, monitor patients, administer treatments as instructed, maintain nursing records, and ensure patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide basic nursing care to patients as per hospital protocols.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and SpO₂.
- Assist Staff Nurses and doctors during examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and within the scope of practice.
- Assist with IV line care, injections, dressing, and other nursing procedures as assigned.
- Observe patients for changes in condition and immediately inform the Staff Nurse/Medical Officer.
- Assist in emergency situations and follow hospital emergency protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient care and nursing records.
- Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
- Support patients with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
- Prepare and maintain nursing equipment and supplies.
- Follow infection-control, hygiene, and patient-safety practices.
- Ensure proper handover and takeover during shift changes.
- Coordinate with Staff Nurses, doctors, housekeeping,



and other hospital departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the patient-care area.
- Provide basic instructions and support to patients and attendants as directed by the nursing team.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform other nursing duties assigned by the Nursing In-charge / Management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the applicable Nursing Council.
- Minimum 2+ years of hospital/clinical experience.
- Good knowledge of basic nursing procedures.
- Good patient-care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a nursing team.
- Good observation and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle patients calmly and professionally.
- Basic knowledge of nursing documentation.
- Good command of Hindi and Gujarati; English communication preferred.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Preferred Experience

- Previous experience in a hospital/IPD setting will be preferred.
- Experience in oncology/cancer care will be an advantage.
- Experience assisting with procedures, dressing, injections, and patient monitoring.
- Patient-friendly and compassionate approach.

Working Hours

Full time – Rotational Shift as per Hospital Duty Roster

Experience

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
